There is a new group management software out there called Grouply. There are warnings about using this program to manage your yahoo groups.

If you are a member of a Yahoo group and an organization known as "Grouply" asks that you join, and then you can use their service to better track all your various Yahoo Groups memberships - sorta like an RSS fed.

To join Grouply, you register with them by giving them your Yahoo ID and password. You sign up and you have just given access to your account....and everything and anyone in it.

If you join Grouply, Grouply can go into the archives of each group you belong to and do the following:

Harvest the email addresses from group members. Then anyone who joins , now they ahve access to their user / password and members, email addresses etc.
Load and steal photos.
Load and steal files.
Add links.
Send SPAM in your name to all your groups.
For a moderator of a list, they could conceivably take control of your list and do with it as they will.

How can they do this? You just gave them the information to do so!

Upon research Grouply also allows and opens up gateways to others who (maybe) purchase access to send out spam and other things to all group members. you security (if you want to keep things private) is at risk by joining this program.

If you have already joined they as to un-join this group and immediately go into your yahoo group and change your password.

If you would like to manage a group...or start your own with confidentiality and full reigns of the bdsm lifestyle , you can always manage your own group and make it a private group by signing into your 411BDSM account > Go to Groups > Create a Group > here you will find options to make it public or private. You can even make the group managable by hidden group only and will not show up even to others on the site.
